For over 200 years, the Glenlivet has continued to challenge the conventions of whisky-making, always pushing the boundaries in pursuit of creating single malts of the highest quality. This time, masters of their craft have come together to take the whisky experience to a new level: perfectly crafting two casks into one, a feat of originality. Allied with our cask experts, the master coopers in Jerez, Spain have hand-selected the finest ex-Spanish sherry and freshly charred European oak casks; these casks were deconstructed and intricately recrafted A€“ alternating stave by stave. A portion of the whisky is then selectively finished in these reconstructed casks, bringing new depths to the interplay of flavours.
