Claymore has genuine history. This fine whisky was first produced in 1890 by A Ferguson & Co of Glasgow. It was made famous before the Great War through classic advertising; Claymore was used to toast the King. By then, it was being exported all over the world by Greenlees Brothers. The word Claymore is from the Gaelic A€˜claidheamhmorA€™, meaning great sword.
