MarquA©s de Riscal discovered and created in Rueda during the mid 70ties a new, young, fresh and fruity white wine with the indigenous Verdejogrape. With the biggest stock of estate-owned vines in the DenominaciA³n de Origen Rueda (225 hectares) other bodegas followed us and the appellation of the D.O Rueda was set up in 1980.
