A shining light across the world, Louis Eschenauer has a long-standing history of over 200 years. In 1821, the Eschenauer family, originally from Alsace, settled in Bordeaux and made a brilliant entry into the wine merchant business. The family became very closely linked with the reputation of the wines of Bordeaux and was instrumental in determining the price of French wine for export. The family also acquired very many Bordeaux chA¢teaux and introduced a proprietary form of vinification.
