Description
Amarone is a full-bodied, balanced, pleasant wine. The carefully selected harvest, drying on trellises and ageing in small oak casks make it “Il vino degli Dei” (the Wine of the Gods). The grapes are hand-picked in cases and taken directly to the drying room where, at a controlled temperature and ventilation, they are left to dry out from the end of October to February. They are then fermented with daily pump-overs and left to age for two years. The resultant wine is very structured and rich.
